Jennifer Raudenbush grew up unchurched in the Minersville, PA area and attended Sweet Briar College in Virginia. She came to know God during a significant struggle in her life. She began attending a United Methodist Church in Orwigsburg, PA, and within 6 months, gave her life to Jesus Christ. Jen received a call to ministry while praying with a patient in the hospital. A year later, after much prayer, she quit her job as a speech-language pathologist and entered Evangelical Seminary in Myerstown, PA. Jen graduated with a Master of Divinity in 2013 and Master of Arts in Religion (spiritual formation) in 2014, both summa cum laude.
In November 2014, Jen was appointed as associate pastor of spiritual formation at her home church of Salem UMC, Orwigsburg. She then completed a two-year certificate program in Spiritual Direction at Kairos School of Spiritual Formation in Lancaster, PA. Jen also works as a spiritual director and writes books and poetry for children . Jennifer began as pastor of Bethany UMC, Hamburg, in July, 2016.
Jen stays very busy as a lover of Jesus, wife, mom, pastor, and spiritual director, and children’s book writer. She enjoys yoga, weight lifting, reading, writing, photography, traveling, and contemplative prayer. Jen is completely in love with her Westie pup, Mazy. Her family loves adventure: skiing, swimming, hiking, bike riding, and traveling together.
